Daniel E. Neufelder

President and CEO

Neufelder joined Affinity Health System in 2006 as its president and chief executive officer.  Neufelder has dedicated his career since 1979 to the health care industry.  Under his leadership, Affinity has embarked on the LEAN Management journey and is focused on both growth initiatives and service excellence. Prior to joining Affinity, he served for 12 years as the executive vice president and chief operating officer of Memorial Hospital of South Bend, Ind.  While at Memorial, Neufelder was instrumental in the significant growth of the hospital and its system.  He distinguished himself and Memorial for outstanding patient service, exceptional clinical outcomes and excellent financial performance.  Prior to joining Memorial, he served the Community Health Network of Indianapolis for 10 years, with the last four of these years as the executive vice president and chief operating officer of Community Hospital East.  Prior to Community, he held positions with St. Vincent Hospital and Healthcare System in Indianapolis, and was a health care management consultant with Ernst & Young.

Neufelder has been active in professional organizations and has served in leadership capacities with the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Healthcare Financial Management Association. He currently serves on the Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and the UW Oshkosh Chancellor's Council of Advisors.

Neufelder is the recipient of the 1997 Young Healthcare Executive of the Year Award for Northern Indiana.  He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Indiana Association of Certified Public Accountants.

Neufelder received his bachelor's degree from the University of Southern Indiana in 1979 and his master's degree in business administration from the University of Indianapolis in 1989.

Neufelder and his wife Jane have one daughter and live in Neenah, Wis.
