Travis Andersen
President, St. Elizabeth Hospital
Travis Andersen became the 18th president of St. Elizabeth Hospital in October 2007, and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the 352-bed facility.
St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton’s first hospital established in 1899, provides total health care to Appleton and the Fox Cities, including emergency/trauma care and surgical services, cardiology, oncology, orthopaedics, intensive care, obstetrics and pediatrics. In his role at St. Elizabeth, the hospital has added a new Heart, Lung & Vascular Center. In addition, St. Elizabeth Hospital continues to be an integral part of Affinity Health System, which has been named eight straight years in the top 50 health systems in the nation.
Travis joined Affinity Health System in 2001 as its director of Business Development. In this role, he developed relationships with UW Health in Madison to bring specialized pediatric and cancer care to St. Elizabeth Hospital and Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh. In 2005 he was named president of Calumet Medical Center in Chilton, a 25-bed critical access hospital. During his two-year tenure at Calumet Medical Center, Travis oversaw a renovation to the hospital’s emergency, registration and radiology departments; recruited a number of medical specialists to the hospital; initiated the development of an orthopaedics and sports medicine program; and implemented digital radiology.
An Iowa native, Travis earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology and German from Simpson College, Indianola, Iowa, and his master’s in hospital and health administration from the University of Iowa in Iowa City.
Travis is active in the Appleton and Chilton communities. He currently serves on the YMCA Fox Cities Corporate Board of Directors, the Calumet Medical Center Board of Directors, the Calumet Area Community Health Foundation Board of Directors, is on a charter school Board of Directors, and serves in his church.
