Oshkosh, Wis. - Mercy Medical Center’s orthopaedic services were recognized as among the best in the nation for superior patient outcomes in a study released by HealthGrades, the leading independent health care ratings organization. The HealthGrades study evaluates objective patient outcomes in the nation’s 5,000 hospitals.
As a result of this top national ranking, Mercy Medical Center is the recipient of the following HealthGrades quality awards:
- Best rated in the region for overall orthopaedic services for five years in a row (2007-2011)
- Best rated in the region for joint replacement surgery for five years in a row (2007-2011)
- Joint Replacement Excellence Award™ for five years in a row (2007-2011)
- Ranked among the top 5 percent in the nation for joint replacement surgery for five years in a row (2007-2011)
- Ranked among the top five in Wisconsin for overall orthopaedic services for nine years in a row (2003-2011)
- Ranked among the top 10 in Wisconsin for joint replacement surgery for eight years in a row (2004-2011)
- Five-star rating in overall orthopaedic services for seven years in a row (2005-2011)
- Five-star rating for joint replacement surgery for nine years in a row (2003-2011)

For patients, the ranking of Mercy Medical Center by HealthGrades offers reassurance that they have chosen one of the best hospitals in the nation to provide orthopaedic care within the Oshkosh community.
